super_supra Posted March 28, 2006 Share Posted March 28, 2006 Reversed of my drive satday and the fault lamp came on when i braked checked my brake lights they were working fine. my fog lights have been wired up to the rear lights but it has never brought the fault lamp on when using my fogs. Dont know how they have been wired up. i have searched and found the part about resoldering the lamp failure unit it's self i did that seemed ok but then 3rd or 4th time of going out in it the failure light came on again. super_supra Posted March 28, 2006 Author Share Posted March 28, 2006 i dont know if there is a relay used in the fog light i ve not found out how its been wired up. it has never brought the warning light on in the 6months i have had the car. Obiwan Posted March 29, 2006 Share Posted March 29, 2006 Yeah the Toyota cold solder poitns are iffy over time so check your solder connections and make sure there ok. super_supra Posted March 31, 2006 Author Share Posted March 31, 2006 Not found out how my fogs were wired up yet. but i have had the back lights of and the green wire with a white strip on both inner brake lights had just been cut and a new black wire atached to the bulb on the right then tacken over to the left hand side. so i have removed the black wire and conected the green/white strip wires back to gether. but i now have i a buld gone when i turn the lights on but seems ok when i use the brakes i ll just have to rewire my fogs as shown on here:rolleyes: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
