D8MOA
has or can this be done to remove the viscus fan? if so is there and previous posts on what fan to use etc?
Tricky-Ricky
Shouldn't be a problem! a large Pacet fan or one or two from another car will do the job, you will need a thermo switch of some kind, or something like an HKS fan controller. D8MOA
hks fan controller?? whats that lol supose you could tap a thread in a alloy part of the cooling system and use a normal kind of switch that a normal system would use??
SimonB
You can, but there's not much point. The viscous fan is very efficient and moves a lot of air. You'll be lucky to find an electric fan that will match it and if you do it will put a load on the alternator and hence the engine equivalent to the load the viscous fan does. The only reason for doing it would be to clear some room at the front of the engine bay or because your stock one has failed.
D8MOA
hmm thats a good point! i would of thought the viscous would of taken more power then a electric one but yer it is a lot to do with very little gain! i was going to put a twin fan on poss from a gs300? would of thought thay share the same rad! plus this would relocate the expanction bottle for when i get a front mount
Wez
If you are gonna do it look on MVP and speak to Dusty about the AAP shroud and dual fans, looks good http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templates/frmTemplateH.asp?SubFolderID=201&SearchYN=N
