Mike
So the engine under-tray finally gave up the ghost yesterday scraped along the road, ripped into quarters (damm you duck tape!) and then scraped along the road some more... my god my car is a real head turner when it makes that loud scraping noise! So just had it removed on the way to work.... don't think I'll replace it? seems like a bit of a pointless thing? Had a nice look at the underneath of my car while they removed it... everything seems very clean for this kind of weather...! no nasty 'oh my god whats that rust' moments anyway... phew.. That stock exhaust is a piece of work isn't it?! that must be half the weight of the car!
JohnA
The undertray should be helping with the bay airflow, rads'n'all. I didn't notice any temp difference though in the summer, as I was running without it for a few months. It certainly helps keep things clean, and is very handy for the oil to collect when you change the oil-filter. I'm still not convinced about it's effectiveness. The jury is out there as far as I'm concerned.
