So if you have bigger injectors, and that's got to be a given surely, if you want an aftermarket ECU, you will be needing to trim the base map downwards via the airflow signal at non-high-boost loadings. -Ian Ah yes, you're right, makes sense when you think about it I suppose since it taps into the injector wires rather than cuts them. Tannhauser
Using my voodoo powers, I have resurrected this thread from its recent death in order to ask some basic questions. Having read the whole thing, I was puzzled by this: You can save up to 3 maps in the E-01's memory card and rather easily switch between them. In theory, you can have multiple memory cards and swap in different maps. What might be the nature of these different maps and why might one want to swap between them? Would it mean 'maps for different octane fuel' e.g. allowing more advance for race fuel in competitions? Or does it mean maps optimised for different ambient temperatures (summer and winter map). Or is it possible to have an 'economy' map and a 'performance' map? I'm hoping it's this last; the idea warms my skinflint heart.
Nick_TC
If the eman was wired up to the profec e-01 and not just the e-01 you could have it for 3 boost settings, low, medium and high. I thought from what ive read the eman can control the injectors +/- 100% but ive probably got it confused.
