Guest wrxtek
Hello, I am new to this forum I am interested in buying a Supra TT Manual from UK, but the car will be taken to Switzerland where I live. Therefore I need to convert it from RHD to LHD. Does anyone know any garages in the UK that will perform such work, and how much would I expect to pay for this job? If I get my answer, I will be buying 1 as early as next week so please help me
SupraHuman
Hi and welcome,I don't know how much it's going to cost you but I'm quite sure you're looking at stupid money. There is a LOT of work involved and a lot of parts needed. You better of trying to find LHD in Europe. Sharpie
Will you have any Smog or Noise issues with bringing in an 'import' into Switzerland ? - You have some very fine roads by the way
Kopite
I'd try and find one from Europe or even a nice 6 speed US Aerotop if you want?
Guest wrxtek
Thanks for the replys All the supra TT i looked for in Europe are Auto transmission. And US supra TT are pricey. I know it can be done I am willing to pay quite a bit, but I just need to know who will do it for me. And I wont have any smog or noise issues with the car. AMG
Could always buy an auto and do a manual conversion, probably end up being cheaper than a RHD to LHD conversion.
Kopite
Cheaper and easier i think, does anyone know of anyone anywhere that's done a LHD to RHD or vice versa?
Guest wrxtek
Is a transmittion change really cheaper and easier? I have read in other supra forums otherwise. LHD conversion requires a lhd dash kit, throttle, and small bits. Engine and trans stay the same place. The whole point for the 6spd is that it can handle much more power than an auto. building the auto transmittion also crossed my mind (TH400) but that aint cheap either
