RedM
NO JOY! Pulled all the green 30 amp fuses. Left it a bit and put them back. Turned ignition and it just does that starter motor noise but doesn't fire. RLTC is set to off position. Is there a way of disabling/bypassing it? RedM
mate, mine did exactly the same with my rltc. Was a dodgy unit. I got stuck on the roundabout by Mcdonalds. Have you tried turning the RLTC off? Where is it stuck? Let me know if you want a hand getting it etc, im not far away Cheers Neil. Thankfully she's back on the drive. steve single
You did say that it didn`t seem right last week mate what were the simptoms??
RedM
Nah, that was about three weeks back. Turbo one didn't feel right. A bit slow to boost. Felt a little like that today but nowhere near as much. Had oil issues earlier in the week. Filled up again and seemed fine. Stumped! neilg
you havnt had a alarm fitted have you? I had problems with that at one point too. A wire was shorting out under the bonnet and it kept immobilising???????
steve single
As the AA man said it could be you fuel pump mate if you cant hear it, it may have packed up!
RedM
No, alarm is about three years old. It's not that it one stay running. Now it wont start at all. I think it might be battery/alt etc. It sounds like an old car ona winters morning. That whiny, rapid fire noise, like the Millenium Falcon when she won't go into hyperspace but sounds speeded up! AA man was sure it was fuel related. Anyone local with a battery tester?

RedM
Just had a look at Walbro pumps. I was expecting a few hundred quid. Dirt cheap. Might upgrade it. Even if it don't fix it, it's still there for BPU time!!
RedM
You aren't supposed to jump start Supras are you?
milocoon
Much easier to take the positive terminal off the battery and this resets all the ECU`s on the car. My first RLTC unit had a faulty circuit board which was replaced under warranty after 2 days once I figured out it might be faulty, I was told it was a rare occurence but reading this thread it appears that at least one more has been faulty. I wonder if QC at Racelogic is 100% . I used the multipin connector plugs which I crimped and soldered so that in the event of an RLTC failure I could revert to standard, it was NOT easy to do (I had bruises on the side of my body due to the PITA location of the Supra ECU loom) but I would advise everybody to do this in future installs just in case of a problem, the manual STRONGLY RECOMMENDS this. Mine does now appear to be OK so it`s not all bad news. Envy installed RedM`s system so it must be under some kind of guarantee and I`m sure they will help him ! steve single
yeah i did mine too along with the 12volt mod works fine for £70.
RedM
Is it RL that's at fault though? It's been more than perfect since fitting.
Kopite
Envy installed RedM`s system so it must be under some kind of guarantee and I`m sure they will help him ! If they installed it and it's a RLTC install problem then they'll definately sort it. Don't think they supplied the unit though, depends if there's a fault in the unit and where it came from etc.
steve single
Seems funny how mine has just acted up tho as it has not even coughed since i got it. Maybe a coinsidence.
milocoon
I`ve had problems with my alarm (only 1 key fob is still working) , it needed to resynchronise (hold the 2 buttons down for 10 seconds and then arm and disarm it) or read the alarm manual if my suggestion doesn`t work. My alarm is 7 years old Cobra 7928, I`ve just ordered a NEW spare for £100 as I think they will be discontinued shortly.
steve single
Doubt it`s that mate it wouldn`t even crank over if it was armed or immobilised unless its connected to fuel pump!!!!!
RedM
If it's an install issue then Envy are a bit far away. I'm assuming any replacement unit is just the metal box and can be switched easily. However, if it is RL then why is it not letting me start the car? Pete
Battery probably flat from you playing - doesn't take much cranking over to kill a battery, especially if it wasn't tip top anyway. Seems a coincidence that you've had the RLTC fitted and are now getting problems.
RedM
Doubt it`s that mate it wouldn`t even crank over if it was armed or immobilised unless its connected to fuel pump!!!!! I think the Clifford 600 has a fuel pump connection. Off to check.
steve single
Seriously doubt it mate it should crank over with it switched off. Try and listen for the fuel pump, if the AA man said he cant hear it then it maybe that.

These aren't the best quality and can be a little flaky. I reckon I'll solder mine and heat shrink nice and neat.
