sarjo
Big noisy brakes!! http://www.kad-uk.com/brakekits2.htm I've got six pot callipers and floating discs. Should they rattle loudly when driving at low speed. Mine sound like a train rattling along the tracks!!

Pete
It's quite normal for floating brakes to rattle at low speeds. Mr Wilson gave me a lesson on them the other day.
Gamer
Glad to hear its not mine then! Embarrassing isnt it trundling down a narrow village high street full of shoppers!! Hmm, I just bought a set. Apart from the rattle at low speed how do you rate them ? Is the rattle really that bad ?
Chris Wilson
AP racing strap drive don't rattle, my AP bobbin in the disc ones only rattle a TINY bit (you'd almost ceratinly never notice unless you were told). Some el cheapo ones rattle like hell though, as the tolerances are so lax. On a road car the ONLY reason to buy them is if you are SERIOUSLY into track days, they are high maintenance items. Gamer
I just double checked and I did not get the kit with the larger floating discs (378 x 32) I got the 356 x 32... Phew Ok Chris, now you can tell me why I don't need those too
sarjo
I got them cus they were on the car when I bought it! They weren't cheap - I've seen the invoice - but still rattle like mad. Good stopping power though.
