Bobbeh
Hehe, someone put a body kit on a mustang, and renamed it as in the movie, doubling the price in the process Is it an official Shelby tuned 500GT car? If not its so not worth that.
Muffleman
A proper tuned Shelby GT500 will be a LOT more than £39,990, this is just a conversion lookalike for the new Mustang, and I think it looks terrific - bit more than just a bodykit. Bobbeh
No offense, but you could go over to the US, buy the car and the bits for a total of around £25k and do it yourself... I also doubt a propper tuned Shelby Mustang would cost $75-80K in US equiv either.
Muffleman
None taken mate, they're definitely making a premium out of it, I mean all the Gone in 60 Secs bollocks has to make you laugh ! But it does look rather horny The basic car in the states is about £16k, so plus shipping, duty, VAT etc yeah I'm sure you could DIY cheaper. Just thought it was a good conversion of the new mustang, it's a muscular look that's right up my street
Bobbeh
Yeah, I really like the look of them and the one you found look great too I like Saleens take on them too, nicer looking car than Shelbys effort... but that one has the power
Muffleman
Yup, the Saleens look cool. In fact, I tried to get a car resprayed in Lizstick Red, which is a Saleen colour - but couldn't get the paint code anywhere ! Boring fact, the colour was named after Mr. Saleens missus 'Liz' and it matched one of her lipsticks !!! Told you it was boring
RobAce
i saw a program about these,a company in the states buys up all the broken old mustangs and strip them to nothing and re-build to wot you see in the pics

cleland
That car looks nice, but its pricey! I import from u.s, and i could easy replicate that car for 25k, depending on its engine mods.

Kopite
The viper caught my eye more too Nice effort on the Mustang, not a patch on the Gone in 60 Seconds remake car though. The company that built them chared $80k i think, gave it all modern coilovers etc and you could chose LHD or RHD and a 6 speed gear box i think! Would love one of them!
