When I buy a train ticket or ferry ticket online, I pay the quoted fare. When I go to buy an air ticket on line the £42 fare jumps to £130 because of taxes etc. Everything has taxes so why aren't airline honest? I find looking at holidays on teletext is like this, you see a holiday for £299 for example ring up give your dates and it £599 I've never known it to be close to the advertised price. People like builders, mechanics also REALLY annoy when they quote and it never includes VAT. Just a way of making prices look better than they really are.
