jazz1
i know, but what i mean is single kits are about 3k etc but having everything perfect as in a full complete setup fuel, injectors everything set is around 9-10k
chilli
how does it add up to so much then? has anyone got a breakdown of the costs? I can kinda see 5k, 9k? seems like a heck of a lot of £ to me
Robert
9-10k for something like a t61 kit? dont think so , i can pick up a kit for say 2-3k, injectors for 300, emanage for 400 or SAFC for 150, mapping and fitting would be about 800 ( yes already talked to someone). total of about 4.5k. edit: fitting and mapping is 800 sorry
jazz1
i didnt mention which turbo, but for what iv been quoted for a best complete full setup it was around 9k:search:, but people who spend 4k suppose they get problems?
chilli
how much is it typically to fit a single kit itself then?
Robert
what the "best complete full setup"? turbo spec etc.
Robert
how much is it typically to fit a single kit itself then? just to fit the kit it is around 700, maybe less depends on who you go to.
chilli
actually that bit is cheaper than I thought I guess if you can install the piggyback yourself then you only need to pay for mapping, saves a few £ too

wkdtime
It feels as though there are alot of decent advice about the different kits and what power they could give you, but not much advice in regard to how much it would cost for a complete kit supplied and mapped correctly with supporting mods. I know you get what you pay for, but for something like a T61 with supporting mods surely it shouldnt mean that you have to spend 6k+ just to get it up and running correctly does it? jazz1
serious, oh well i aint mentioning names but thats what i got quoted, but i suppose you cant go single without tuning correctly? mind you i dont know nothing about engines but thats what i was quoted, besides nemesisperformance were charging 16k for there hks twin full setup:search:

wkdtime
I suppose standalone is a better option than SAFC or something similar to run 650cc +, this is probably where the bulk of the money should be invested wisely, fueling and mapping via standalone ECU? SimonB
Injectors will cost more like £600 by the time you've had them cleaned & tested. Plus you'll need bigger decat pipes really, not much point in running a single with 2.5inch ones. My setup is going to cost just over 4k, but that's with a GT35R turbo, which is 1k on its own! That's just parts, I'm fitting and mapping it myself. Of course if you haven't got things like an uprated fuel pump, FMIC, clutch etc already you'll have to budget for those too. Not really, Emanage ultimate is just as capable for that kind of thing and doesn't require loads of work just to get the cold start etc working right. But from what i have heard, mapping the Emanage can be complicated and problamatic.
