If, as you say, in certain Muslim states the non-Muslim citizen has more rights than the native Muslim. Maybe the immigrants in question just assume that the reciprocal is true here. So the non native has more rights than the native. If this is the case then it would appear to be a misconception that isn't being corrected. All this PC nonsense is then just serving to reinforce this belief. However I have to acnowledge that "positive" discrimination really gets my back up. Rules is Rules, they should apply to everyone. End of. There should be no re-interpretation on the grounds of religion etc. Just MHO Mike Hey Mike, The post I made refers to a 'true Islamic' state which I don't think there is any now! I don't think its people who expect that they should be treated better in a foreign country as in your post. I think it's simple. We all have things that we want be it money, cars or religious needs. Now the people who are taking the Piss do it because they can!!!!!!!! The system/Government/Laws allow for this! I know that there are countries where if I went there and burnt their flag, I will be publicly lynched (OK, this example may be a bit extreme!) hence I will not do that in their country. Whereas in this country, if I wanted to, I can take the piss to gain financially or religiously - that’s why people do it and abuse it. So I think in this context you can't really blame the individuals/groups - It's the laws and system that allow for it! There will always be outcast groups and individuals but it's the laws that can control them. Obviously the likes of Al Qaeeda is a bit different as they are just plain crazy Mo'Fo's! But it's not just immigrants or 'foreigners'. What about murderers who are freed after a few years or yobs continuously terrorizing their neighbourhood......It's the same thing - The laws and policies are just poo! I know for a fact that I can glass and scar someone in the face and only receive a £150 fine from the magistrates (this has happened to me, receiving the scar not giving it!). Now is that a deterrent? No, he is likely to do the same offence again which this guy has done so! He knows that the laws are too lax to make it a deterrent for him.
