sarjo
Petrol . . . . As some of you will know I picked up my new car last week. After about 10 miles of driving it back the petrol light comes on. i keep driving to the next garage selling optimax and fill up with 63 quid of petrol. After 204 miles and with a dodgy petrol float/needle I decide to fill up again to keep track of what its doing. 34 quid. So my reckoning is: A bit in the tank to start, so on 34 quidish I've done just over 200 miles. All this on a 500bhp single turbo. Sounds ok to me? Better than my 3.5 V6 4x4
Ian R
Yep sounds good how often did you have the single on full chat though ??

sarjo
Trust me it drops a fair wack I can imagine that Ian. The roads by where I live dont really allow you that often to give it full whack but occassionally it can open up Still, quite happy with what its giving me at the moment. Almost cant believe it unless there was more in the tank to start with? How much does it take to fill up from as near as empty?
RedM
From fully empty you may squeeze £60 in. I always fill up at the 1/2 full mark and often struggle to get £50 in. Nice car BTW.
Gord R
Thats not bad mate... i find my t88 supra better on fuel on a run than my TD pajero!
lockys96
how the hell do you get that many miles? on £30 i always get 155-165, and i have cat back, filter, fmic. hmmm looks like i need to go single, the money ill save on fuel, in the long run the single will pay for itself, lol

sarjo
He drives like a girl! Hows the knee Col, fancy the other one doing!!!! You startin on me now Oh btw, thanks for the contact with Adam. Going a week on Saturday. I think it did that well as I am one of the more sensible Supra drivers (the one thats got a new car and is getting used to it!!!) On a serious note, what does it take others to fill tank? I thought it would have took more to fill the tank than 60odd quid. Optimax here is 97.9p/litre. Guest chiefvinso
I've read that singles can be more efficient than twins somewhere on this site until you start giving it some beans.
