Steve W2
Well just been to Halfrauds and got some Dexron TQ III and put a litre in which brought it up to the top of the HOT tab. I hadn't noticed that it was less smooth to drive but noticed that it did feel smoother with the oil in (obviously). It drives really well and I feel a bit better know. Just gotta hope it doesn't give up on me. I was looking at my engine bay with the ATF in my hand going WTF do I fill this up, then this guy goes WOW! can I have a look, always wondered what the MKIV engine bay looks like. Then he said whats the problem, I told him, he then checked levels for me and even filled the fluid up for me as he said no point in me getting my clothes dirty, NICE ONE!! Oh, he has a modded MKIII Supra and seemed to know what he was talking about, well more than I did anyway. He said that the old oil looked OK just low. Anyway, thanks for all your help, if it wasn't for you guys I would have have completely destroyed my gearbox:eek: (Well, there's still time)

Chris Wilson
Auto box oil leaks are pretty rare, YOU MUST FIND THE LEAK. If it's a small leak that suddenly becomes a big one you may lose the `box altogether, or even get oil all over the tyres and have a nasty accident. Get it on a ramp somewhere that knows the cars and find where the oil has gone! Good luck.
Steve W2
Chris, could it have just lost that fluid over a period of few years without being looked at? I park the car in the same place every night and have not noticed any oil lying around. I will get it checked but I am not remotely near anyone who knows much about Supra's. Anyone got any recommendations? Again, thanks for all your help.

Travel if you must, but it really does need checking out. A stitch in time and all that...
Thorin
The (RHD) aerotop's were all auto's, and all aerotop's were GZ spec. Non aerotop GZ specs were either manual or auto.
SimonB
Steve - you could try Triton Motorsports on the industrial park over by the airport, they're a jap import specialist.

Steve W2
Yeah, I've (unfortunately) had a lot of work done there over the years and have had no problems. I was wondering where the local guys take their cars, but it appears it's the same place as me. Will have to book the car in, they should run a reward card scheme or something, I'd be geting lots of free stuff by now! Tim - Haven't seen the renault 21 but been for a spin in Andy's (owner) 380BHP full rally spec Mitsi Evo.
