Hello, I'have made by myself on my Jspec supra entire one piece 3" exhaust and downpipe without midle flange, now I need restrictor ring, but where I fit? In the flange from turbo and downpipe, or from the end of downpipe to muffler? thanks

And How many HP I can take with Bpu and 1.1 bar boost on my jdm supra?

Hi mate,

ideally you would want the restrictor ring to go inbetween the end of the 2nd cat and the rest of the cat back system. The reason for this is that by putting it there allows the gases coming through to settle down a bit before squeezing through. It can go inbetween the end of the 1st decat and the second, just not as ideal.

If your removing both the cats you should also really be running some colder plugs or you may find it will misfire. A FCD will also be needed if you will be making more than 1 bar of boost, or you will be hitting fuel cut.

Generally a JDM car running BPU will make around 380-410 flywheel HP

Hope this helps

Thanks :) . I have apexi avcr and colder spark (ngk 3330 with 0.8mm gap) and greddy bbc, I have fit all few day ago.

the problem is that I do not have the flange between downpipe and the rest of exhaust, therefore I need to build by myself the restrictor ring on my 80mm pipe! How much is large the hole of the restrictor ring? +- 5/6 cm (2 / 2,4 inch)?

To be honest mate, i am unsure of the diameter of the hole, when people order they just say whether they want a 1, 1.1 or 1.2 bar etc restrictor ring

They are generally bought from a member on here called Chris Wilson, if you drop him a PM and say what level of boost you want to run, i'm sure he will be able to advise on what size you need to make it.

Not totally correct there mate, the closer it is to the turbo, the less chance of spiking. The best position is between the 1st and 2nd decat pipes, this allows the best control of boost pressure.

Homer, hmmm, well thats what i was told by CW when i bought my 1st decat from him, he said to always put it as far back from the turbo as poss. As when the gases leave the turbo they will be swirling around in all sorts of direction and by putting it further back allows these gases to settle down a bit first.

But it also makes sense what you are saying mate
