RedM
Using Cliffnet Wizard 2.20 where do I find the proximity settings controls. I have a Concept 600 with prox but absolutely cannot find it in the software.
Pete
I'm trying to figure this out myself. I believe it's something to do with why my voice module isn't appearing either. There's a serial connection which needs to loop between the modules and I'm not sure mine does. Thing is, if you load the software in offline mode this should give you all the options, and I've not seen it there either. If you find out let me know. Ta! RedM
I'm thinking it may only be in the Pro version. I know the prox can be changed via the pad but it seems a bit hit and miss if you don't know where you are starting from.
Pete
I'm uploading pro version for you to look at to http://www.pbarfield.com/WizPro220.zip 8Mb and it'll take 10mins or so before it's uploaded
TrickTT
Thanks Pete, just downloaded this, i'll upgrade from the consumer version. Word of warning from the guy who installed my system though: make a note of all the settings before you change anything " or you'll fu£k it up big style"
RedM
Pete, Thanks for that. I've had a look and I can't spot it in that version either. What I know is: 1. I have a proximity sensor/warning. 2. It can be changed via the remote. 3. My installer changed it for me. 4. He used software. 5. The help facility actually mentions bar graphs and buttons. It has to be in there somewhere. Maybe only available when working online! Where's Matt Harwood when you need him?
Pete
make a note of all the settings before you change anything " or you'll fu£k it up big style" It's a very good tip! Doesn't help that some of the screens seem to return to default values rather than pulling existing values from the alarm though.
Pete
5. The help facility actually mentions bar graphs and buttons. It has to be in there somewhere. Maybe only available when working online! I'll spend some time on it again next weekend as I need to do this to stop it annoying everyone as they walk by it. The help facility is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. I was looking for a PDF manual on the Wizard software but couldn't find one.
JohnK
It IS in the pro version, cant tell you where (sorry) as I dont have my laptop here. It is def not in the consumer version.
RedM
It IS in the pro version, cant tell you where (sorry) as I dont have my laptop here. It is def not in the consumer version. Is it the case that if you choose an option that doesn't have prox as standard then the software doesn't load that part? I'm off to try. RedM
Right, I've had a look at all the systems that I know feature proximity sensors and none of them have an adjustment screen anywhere within the Cliffnet software. The help funtions says it only applies to systems where the prox settings can be changed via the remote but it appears that that is all of them. So why no screen in Cliffnet? Pete
So why no screen in Cliffnet? It's definately the pro version as far as I can tell as there is an extra menu item that appears....and it says pro on the splash screen. Maybe there is another version? 2.2 Pro Installer??! RedM
Copy of email to Clifford: Hello, In Cliffnet 2.2 Pro how do I change the proxity sensor settings? I have looked everywhere but cannot find a way of doing so. Many thanks blah blah blah
Pete
They answered any of m emails. Take it to a dealer will be the response.
RedM
I have received a reply from Clifford and you got it pretty much spot on, Pete. Dear Martin, Thank you for your email. Unfortunately the sensors cannot be adjusted by the Cliffnet Wizard software. The settings can only be adjusted by an authorized Clifford dealer using a remote. Should you require the location/ contact details of your nearest dealer, please reply to this email stating the town and county you live in. Regards, Clare Buckley Customer Services Directed Electronics I have sent another reply to them: Clare, Thank you for your reply. As the instructions on how to change the proximity settings are available from the Clifford site I'll use them rather than pay a dealer. Especially as I have paid for the alleged PRO version of the software. Can I also ask why this facility is not available through the software? Regards Martin I await a reply!
