Apologies if these questions make me look like a simpleton but I have never had an auto before and have tried pushing the buttons but they seem to do nowt !!! I have the manual but unfortunatly dont have the time to learn japanese. I thank you in advance for any help you may be able to give me. koolance
the red button (hold it in)allows you to move the shifter up and down when the engine is off. the man bottom is to knock it into manual mode

Ian C
The Supra FAQ should come in handy One is a button that lets you take it out of gear without the engine running. The other is "manual mode" that stops it going into overdrive (4th). -Ian
Pixelfill
Hi and welcome to the club, The red button allows you to take the car out of gear while the engine is off - if you need to. The Manu button allows you to change gear using the gear stick - effectively turning your car into a 3 speed manual. O/D doesn't work in manual. The Search button allows you to find answers to many questions, including the two most common first posts by new members Unfortunately pretty much every new auto owner asks these questions so you will likely get a few tongue in cheek answers. ChrisSZ
The man button also stops the box from downshifting when you accelerate - it stays in the gear selected.
