How can I find out if my wheels will fit UK brakes?

I've got a set of 17" BBS 3 peice split rims (as seen on the pic below). How would I find out if UK spec brakes are likely to fit under them? Does anybody know if they're likely to fit?

I want UK brakes, but I'm not buying new wheels for them at the moment.

Thanks

Best way is to find someone with a UK car and try one of your wheels.

Neil (HISUPE) tryed one of his wheels on my car at lunchtime and it fitted........just:)

I know his wheels are 17" but not sure what make.

Yeah, probably easiest that way.. does anybody live near Aylesbury with a UK spec they wouldn't mind ripping a wheel off for a bit? :)

Heh :) She has a new car now, I think.. not sure what it is, looks a bit ricey.. 3 spoke wheels (wide spokes).. shrug. Don't know. In my experience, neighbours are off limits - they work out to be FAR more trouble than they're worth :)

There the best ones, you don't even have to walk very far, and think of the petrol money you'd save.

Still, in that pink little number, all wet and cold.........:D

Can you read on the wheels what the offset is mate? Should be somewhere on the wheel, maybe on the inside. See my post on UK Brake Results - lists my offset and they fitted - just ;) as SMW said!

Of course I prob also comes down to wheel design too - only real way is to do the swap!

Unfortunately, while that is a bonus (and yes, I've been involved with a neighbour before) - - it's also the bloody problem!

Although it's not too far for you to walk, and the petrol savings are great.. the "pop-in" is unrelenting and it's IMPOSSIBLE to escape if you want to.. She can look out the window to see if you're home, and if you just want a quiet night by yourself - you have no choice.

Currently, my girlfriend lives in the US.. eliminates all that, and the petrol bill is still very low. The flight cost for ~8-12 flights a year is pretty big, though.. :/ Especially when she's a student and I pay for it. Bah. That's money my Supe wants!

Girlfriend.. car.. girlfriend.. car.. don't make me choose :)

John: That'd be great if you don't mind. I'll try and figure it out, there's no pressing time issue on this (I'm about to bugger off to Australia for a bit and I'm looking to do this early next year), so no hurry, but yeah at some stage would be great if we could try it.

Cheers :)

did you rotate the wheel and make sure it goes all the way round? Not as silly as it sounds, my first set of wheels would fit over, but the valve would have hit the caliper. Not good......

Pulse, I'll be in Iver - near Slough - most of tomorrow and have UK brakes if that helps. Let me know.

Line the spokes up with yer caliper and poke a rule thru and measure the distance , post it here and i'll measure mine , then we will know.measure at top of caliper.
