Pixelfill Posted March 18, 2006 Share Posted March 18, 2006 If it finds any critical objects - my advice is to quarantine them all, then you should be fairly safe. Don't be too shocked if you do find a lot. I run IE with no major problems, (touch wood) just remember to install all the critical safety updates, and check periodically for Malware, using Ad-Aware or similar in the same way you would run your virus checker. However as Jake says - Internet Explorer is a target for most of the vulnerabilities etc. Firefox is an alternative browser which comes highly recommended. Bobbeh Posted March 18, 2006 Share Posted March 18, 2006 Just keep up to date with anti spyware/adware programs, run them regularly and you should be ok You can also install an anti popup blocker like the one that comes with the google bar.
