Tom
Yep as others has said it does all look a little odd!, hope it's nothing that can't be resolved easily!
Bobbeh
Thats a funny graph, look at around 4.5k (transition stage?) it dives down then spikes right up like you've got massive turbo lag or sommat Very odd.
Tom
do you find that there's hesitation when no.2 comes one?
Class One
This could also be in TTC mode as well, it's hard to get such a skewed torque curve otherwise:blink: Still very high up the rev range before he gets some proper boost. If it was in TTC should be full boost by 4k.ish
wkdtime
Still very high up the rev range before he gets some proper boost. If it was in TTC should be full boost by 4k.ish What if the the guy was hessitant and only gave it full wot around 5500rpm??? or is me talking gibirish i say? Dragonball
I might also worry that at 1.3 Bar that there was extra power coming from leaning out? What gear was it dyno'ed in?
Gazboy
It's not an auto box is it? The dyno guy may have trundled along to reach high enough in the revs to ensure they'd be no kickdown, then pinned it???
Guest dee_rz
bhp figs seem about right for the mod you have, but damn that graph is ugly as feck, very strange
black cat
i know nothing, however just looking at that graph it looks like one almightly boost at 5500rpm.. wtf.
Need4Speed
I've never seen a dyno graph that looked like that. Something is wrong.
black cat
would a shagged clutch do this.
Whitesupraboy2
bet thats a handfull high in the revs
cleland
This is the bhp at wheels sheet, ive just had it back on the rollers and theres not a big change to last night so this was the best run. It is manual, and does run 1.2 to 1.3 bar, and did lean off abit but nothing bad.
Tom
looks like a faulty vsv to me, from 4k where it should come on it seems to try, backs off or gets stuck then finally comes on full blast, nice bit of power though!
cleland
Funny thing is i had a tt before, and the boost never came in like this. It feels like a two stroke.
JohnA
Do these people know how to RR an auto supra? (manual mode etc) You need to eliminate any surrounding factors before contemplating on the weird graph. The end of the power curve seems to go *backwards* even. If the equipment is not A-OK or the operator doesn't know how to setup the car and treat the throttle then you're bound to get strange results. cleland
All the cars tested were manual, last night. It made good power really its the middle bit thats confusing !!
Gazboy
Very strange- is the first turbo dead? Maybe there is no pre-spool of the second turbo?
Ian C
The first turbo is fine, it's the second coming in late by the look of it. -Ian
bromy
What does it feel like to drive on the road? is it a massive kick up the backside at 5500rpm?
cleland
It feels just like that, nothin then 5000rpm it goes mental, love the feelin but cant be right. Julian at trackcar, is right the car is behaving like the dyno shows. we did a few runs, all the same.
