cleland
I didnt know what power it would make, and Im fitting single turbo, cams, etc, next week so i was curious, with the few mods i had done. i thought it was a bit high, but to other cars made the hp they had done on other rolling roads. Tom
whats the spec???
cleland
front cooler, full decat, apexi system, fcd, 1.3.bar boost. and optimax. BUT, when i got it as a fresh import, there were sgns it had had more bits fitted and took off, so i could have missed bits that are still on. ie injectors n map work. Homer
That doesn't look right at all, its spooling up far too late, you should see the power increase rapidly from around 4200rpm. A dyno with a sotck turbo'd car running 1.3 bar should look like the the pic below. Is it on stock turbos? Edit: Did you say you ARE fitting a single, or you have ALREADY fitted a single? JamieP
blimey that power graph is all over the place....your not getting full boost till 5500rpm...that worse than my t88:D
supragold
Something doesn't seem right there.
cleland
The turbos look standard, but not sure on full spec of mechanical mods and ecu, but power does seem late, and feels same on the road.
letmeshowyou
i know its been said but what an odd power graph! This wouldn't explain it but are you running in TTC?
bromy
No dosent look right, your making 210 by 5400rpm then 416 at 6300, did they not explain the graph
letmeshowyou
thinking about it... are you even sure thats the graph for your car and they haven't printed you the wrong one by mistake?!
Nic
That peak hp seems late too it doesn't reach peak until 6400rpm, what's peak hp on stock cams and tubos normally? Just comparing it to mine running i256/e264 cams and stock turbos (in parallel) and I get max power at 4900-5000rpm.
cleland
He did afew runs for a bhp readout, which is what i wanted. I did think at the time he was holding back just before full boost, but the other cars sempt bang on!

letmeshowyou
mines peaking at 5800... but the graph looks very different to that! Did they give you a whp figure mate?
Homer
Could it be wheelspin? You can see the power start to increase when it should, then it levels out until 5500rpm when it starts to grip again...
cleland
Didnt get whp, but im gonna try and get it back on today. as i only nipped it in for a bhp figure before i stripped it. Ive not seen a graph like that, so im glad you guys are as curious as me. has any one got a graph with simular spec to mine to compare it and show the guy. Mods were: Full decat RSR cat-back 1.15bar FMIC Aeromotive fpr I've done a few dyno's since buying the car and at various stages of modding, but the overall shape of the graph and where the 2nd turbo spools have never changed. cleland
On the first couple of runs the tyres smoked and it tryed to jump out of the dyno, so we had to strap it down more, like i say he did seem to me to be backing off as it came on boost. any suggestions guys.. Homer
cheers homer, do you mind if i show him that one! Sure, go ahead. Its even been done on the same model rolling road PS: That was at the wheels
cleland
Thanks i will let you know later, how it goes..
JohnA
It starts to pick up at 5500rpm and full boost is at 6300. Not a very road-friendly setup is it? My guess would be that it probably has fancy cams and badly matched ignition timing maps. At least.
bromy
You should have been given the graph with power at the wheels, that is the important one, your flywheel graph is a rough guess

JohnA
Fancy enough to allow massive reversion up until 5500rpm. The designers didn't adopt a 'zero overlap' policy by accident you know. If you don't fit a single, std cams are a pretty good compromise. This could also be in TTC mode as well, it's hard to get such a skewed torque curve otherwise:blink:
