Justin
Anybody know if the boys in blue frown upon and pullover people for plates that are otherwise laid out as per dvla rules but have custom spacing? Anybody been pulled for this? Eg. K7O GT or for the rear K7O GT That is an 'O' not a zero. Pushing it next to the first set of numbers rather than having it as the last 3 as normal. Alex
Yes it's wrong therefore illegal...but as everyone seems to do things like this you'll get away with it.
Burna
Might get picked up on at MOT time, mine did a couple of years ago
Class One
If you do get pulled, you'll usually get a Vehicle Defect Rectification Notice, which gives you a chance to put the "fault" right, get the "fault" tested at a MOT station at your expense and send the bit of paper off. However, if you are a persistant offender you'll have your plate withdrawn from use and a Q plate attached to your car.
rush
What about black number plates with silver lettering, i've seen a lot of those around lately, i thought the plate had to be a certain age before you could do that, or have the rules changed. tbourner
C and U regs say you must have standard white and yellow unless it's older than X years IIRC.

Jake
I'm pretty sure B&W, or black and silver plates, are only allowed for cars made (not registered) before 01-Jan-
