Ian R
I would be happy at £9500 considering you can buy a J-spec with half the miles for aroun £8 K

Pete
High miles, 13 years old, 1/4 of its original value? Hmmm. Dealers swap these cars for 5k and less. That's what really grates me.

Guest Flat4_ire
anyone else got any advice?man what do u want them to say? bring a qualified mechanic to check it out, if YOU are happy with the car then work out the bottom price, it really is that simple! Bobbeh
If it were standard I'd be up for it, sure you can get it for under 10k, but if you see it in person and it IS mint, then you can make up your own mind.
Kopite
If it's a minter then the mileage shouldn't matter, i'd offer £10k and see if they can get the cambelt done etc as it's due soon
Pete
what do u mean another dreamer? Sorry, I changed my mind on that one. Granted - it's extremely rare. Best I don't comment anymore.
fat_controller
well i've got the aa doing an inspection and a car dealer i know doing a hpi. i guess the cars worth what i'm willing to pay for it at the end of the day.
Ian R
As I said £9.5k is top limit and that would be if I was desperate for the car

Kopite
If it's got a boost controller, try and find out what it's been running boost wise. Is it private or trade? How many previous owners? Does it have a Fuel Cut Defender too?

fat_controller
well i've just bought a house and had to sell my car fo deposit, i've been driving a mercedes sprinter for 8 weeks so i'm pretty desperate.

Rare car/model = higher value... same with any car. This is a private sale not a dealer one right? and 114k miles is NOT high miles on a 3 litre car FFS.. expecially on a Toyota. Sure you can get a cheaper JDM model 'with half the miles' but at least with this one you've got a better chance of those miles actually being real! fat_controller : Go visit it if you're serious and take it for a drive, you'll know when you have a go in it and see it in the flesh if its worth the green
