China Man
there is a big spring which pull the seat forward when the lever is pulled. Check if that is still intact? China
Nic
Wow, that is something new I have learnt about the Supra after all these years, I didn't realise that the seat was suppose to slide forward when you put the seat back forward. That spring is hanging loose on mine, often wondered what it was doing under there and now I know, thanks China
terribleturner
Just been and had a look but the spring is fine. On the other hand the bit i've circled in red doesn't seem to be attached to anything. I'm taking it is?? Can you take a close up picture for me Ben?? Slight hijack: Nic got my harnesses yesterday Cheers again.
China Man
I think it is for the duel control mechanism. there are two ways to move the chair, one is the lever under the seat "for the front passenger" and there is a lever at the rear left corner "for the rear seat passenger to step on it" I think that is anyway
terribleturner
Nice one. Seems it needs to be attached here. Gonna pop out and see why it isn't. Thanks again

Homer
I never knew it was supposed to do that. Just been out and checked and sure enough that spring had fallen off!
China Man
I think James have discovered a common supra fault My bucket doesn't auto slide forward, I think I may mod the corbeau seats and add the stock spring to it
Supra ST Myster
mine also does this, use to work as it should by flipping down and slide forward but now it only flips down, done it for a while now so yeah i am going to have a look at the said possible problem! China Man
I got a few PM about the left over leather seats. I have no plan to sell them at the moment as I plan to have the car for a couple of years before selling and I will keep the seat until then and revert everything back to stock.
