JohnA
I think it seems to be another one of there standard tricks to do this. Some people must think well they were the cheapest last year so i'm sure they are again and just renew. That's also my impression. Just like credit card offers, they are meant to cash on people's inertia and make up the difference (and more!) via overpriced automatic renewals. THE DON
£1163, you gotta be kidding. People have gone single with less (not always with 110% success though) do you think thats bad?
JohnA
The market value of these cars is *not* £40K, no matter what people would like to believe based on new car prices 10 years ago. So when the annual insurance premium becomes 10-20% of the expected payout (in case of total loss) --- well, something's not right
TT-DEK
JAKE. I think I did get something from them a few weeks back but I just binned it without reading it properly, along with all the other junk mail I get. I get so much junk mail it's untrue. I bin half of it without opening the envelope.
Schtuv
One company that gave me a really good insurance deal was HSBC. Haven't had to try claiming or renewing yet, but came out from £300 to £600 cheaper than anywhere else. I did get a 10% discount in their sale, though. I called tham back to make sure they knew it was a Supra, MKIV, imported, etc, and they did.
Jake
Scott at Sky has quoted me £441 plus 35 for Agreed Value - so I've gone with that. Seems like a good guy too which makes a nice change after some of the muppets I've had to speak to when getting the other quotes.
JohnA
That's almost exactly the quote I've got from them. No discount for UKSpec then, grrrr...... (only kidding, the extra spec should be keeping me happy)
Jake
iirc I'm a bit older then you though John. Different mods and postcode ratings would make a difference as well. Mine is for 40y/o driver and Mrs PO8 postcode Non stock: wheels, exhaust, body kit.
