JimmyL
I may have a problem here. Could anybody help me? Whilst cleaning the interior of the supra today i noticed i had what appeared to be a damp patch in the passanger footwell. On closer investigation it turned out to be oil of some description. It appears to be coming from somewhere under the dash. Any ideas would be most welcome as to what is causing this and how to stop it from happening Cheers Jimmy
Homer
Are you sure its not engine coolant? If it is you're heater matrix may have gone. Not good. Not good at all.

markymark
sounds to me like your heater matrix put your heaters on and see if thats working and check your radiator water level to see if you have lost any fluid

JimmyL
Cheers guy's, Just took the soop for a spin. The heaters are working but only luke warm air is blowing out. I just put it down to the engine being cold but thinking about it been like this even after a long drive. Any ideas how much it will cost to fix? JohnA
a lot. The coolant should really be changed every year or two. If yours looks like oil, it's no wonder the heater matrix kicked the bucket. If you are short of cash you may want to bypass the matrix from the engine bay and avoid using the car in the cold.
D8MOA
£150-200 ish for a matrix then 4-5 hours to fit i would of thought! think toyota are £75 plus vat per hour! alot of $$ to be honest
JohnA
If you go to Toyota you'd be lucky to get change from a grand. My suspicion would be that anyone who knows what they're doing will quote too high to deter you from having it done at their place.
JimmyL
Thanks once again guy's. I'll take the soop in for a check up and see how much it dents my wallet. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

JohnK
Ive seen what a complete ass this job is but strangely autodata only list this job at 4.1 hours.
JohnA
Maybe they are hours of a Creation day. If you can build a universe in 6 days, maybe a supra matrix can be swapped in 4 hours.
