attilauk
the earlier JDM models had really badly setup suspension, especially for UK roads (the spring rate was too low and the damping rate was too high iirc) i believe Nissan brought in prodrive to sort the problem out for the UK cars
Jurgen-Jm-Imports
i have just bought a 350z fairlady for a company down south called akamoto nitrous system, its the st version which has the full leather, bose sound system, dvd, sat nav can ve convert in uk to work, brembo brakes. basically some of the uk models dont have these options u have to get a top of range one and in japan they are much cheaper to buy and import. afreemason
And where would you expect to find a 350z owner ...... that's right ..... the Supra site !!!!!!! Well ..... I'm here !!!!! First thing mate, get yourself logged onto http://www.350zukownersclub.com you can join for no cost initially and post your question up in the public forums no probs. Main differences that I know of are : Wheels .... cheaper version on the Jap spec Stoppers ..... you don't get the nice brembos on a Jap spec .... as standard Headlight washers .... Jap spec apparently doesn't need them Auto box ..... Does come on the Jap spec as an option but not on the UK car !!!!!! Price ...... Jap spec MUCH more affordable There are quite a few Jap Spec inports and they're running just fine from what I can tell. If you have plans for a blower of twin turbo conversion you might be better off going for a Jap Spec. Search on this site for Veilside Z and drop him a PM if you'd like he's the chairman on the 350z club and has an APS twin turbo kit. I'll also try and pm or e-mail you a post from the owners club on running an import. Hope some of this is useful mate. Put it this way ..... I have a Zed and the other half has a supe albeit an NA ...... drive looks nice !!!!!!! Also .... have a look here http://www2.nissan.co.jp/Z/Z33/0310/GRADE/main1.html Translator here http://babel.altavista.com/tr ...... and the car in front ...... is a NIssan 350Z !!!!!! Jurgen-Jm-Imports
the j - spec 350 z i have coming over has brembos and its 6 speed
afreemason
The brembo conversion is a common one ...... as with the supra, but it's not that cheap so a Jap Spec WITH brembos is a good find !!!!! UK cars have Brembos as standard.

Rayman
Seen & heard one of these in action the other day, driver was driving like a looney albeit, dressed in a suit too. The sound was fantastic without being overly loud, i was amazed at how quick it went round corners, stuck to the road very well! Love the styling too! Just did an insurnace quote for one the other day and it came out very cheap considering, just over 1k for me , baring in mind and evo or subaru would cost me over 2K, its not too hefty of an insurance premium, not that i could afford one like! Nissan did it all themselves afaik, then in late 2004 they updates the rest of the world production of Z with Euro suspension for an extensive list of differences, feel free to come search on our site, the question gets asked basically every day some results in searching for "import" http://www.350z-uk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1910&highlight=import http://www.350z-uk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2375&highlight=import http://www.350z-uk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=386&highlight=import http://www.350z-uk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=262&highlight=import http://www.350z-uk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=740&highlight=import http://www.350z-uk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=852&highlight=import PS our site is completely free, no £35 to join either , uh Glyn?
