CJ
What is all the "first dibbs" bollocks cropping up in the for sale section? It reminds me of a junior school yard. Starting to get on my nerves TBH

Bill Prawn
jaysus go take your grandad pills would ya!? Woah there boy calm down. You make it sound like it's aimed at you. I do think CJ has a point though. Even though someone puts 'first dibbs' on the site someone else may have made a pm offer. Which then upsets the dibber. Scoboblio
CJ it's just another way of saying "I'll have it"..... although I don't know what's wrong with actually saying "I'll have it"
Jurgen-Jm-Imports
first option on item would be better:)

CJ
CJ it's just another way of saying "I'll have it"..... although I don't know what's wrong with actually saying "I'll have it" But thats just the point, as far as I can see, it doesnt mean I will have it but rather I will have first option to buy - until I ask loads of questions and then decide against

Bill Prawn
Maybe the seller needs to take responsibility. They should say whether the first person to make an offer or pm or e-mail or to post first dibbs is the person that can buy it.

CJ
Simple as if I want something I pm the seller then stick pm'ed in the thread none of this first dibbs boll@cks Exactly. As far as i can see, this "first dibbs" is almost a request to be first in line should that person decide to buy. It isnt an out and out "Yes, I will take that". Bill Prawn
Just a thought, is First Dibbs Supra Dibbs older brother?
Charlotte
Well surely 'first dibbs' is useless if the seller reads a p.m before seeing the updated post, i can't see how it works myself. Money talks anyway or at least the offer of money.

Class One
Well seeing as the club's becoming more childish, argumentative and chav like, day by day, it was going to happen. At the end of the day (on a more serious note) is there a precedent set with etiquette for this sort of thing? After all money talks etc. I tend to put PM'd on a post having PM'd the seller to find out a bit more or reserve the item if that's agreeable with them. But posting "first dibbs" on the thread before discussing anything with the seller is a bit ooo imo.
