Im just after buying a 95 supra tt. Problem is when i floor it in 3rd gear upwards and hit boost the engine dies and orange engine light comes on. Could it be fuel cut ? I have a HKS evc 4 and dont know how to reset it. It boosts to 1.24 bar and even with controller off still does this. Any suggestions as to why this is happening ?

Still on stock turbos Greddy fmic(huge), boost controller thats all i know as it was brought in from japan. Boost setting were set at 0.9 bar low and 1.75 high but somehow i doubt it would run that kinda boost. When at 0.9 it still boosts to 1.24 cant get it to stable

I obviously haven't tried 1.75 thats just what the high setting is set to. Dont know how to reset the boost controller though

Im sure I've read on this forum that running higher-than-stock boost with both cats in place will put the stock tubbies under more 'strain' (possibly not good for their longevity).

Might be an idea to turn the boost down to stock level until you decat it.

Mite have to take out the boost controller cause it still seems to be boosting higher even when turned off. Maybe its still getting a signal from it. Is this possible ?
