raymanuk
Yep - same problemo here I thought it might of been my tyres but after a new set it was still there. I have not had it pulling off in 1st but I get it occaisionally when reversing off the drive.
Animal
Me too - occasional front-end judder when first starting to reverse. Looks like a common problem. Hopefully easy to fix
Ian C
Subframe bolts fixed exactly this problem for me, and has stayed fixed for a couple of years now. Maybe you didn't do 'em up tight enough Bobbeh -Ian
Scoboblio
Awww just as I was expecting a conspiracy about F1's to start I get this too, but had the subframe bolts (apparantly) checked a while ago. Oh and I've got Eagle F1's
RedM
Still not convinced about F1s on the front, me.
Bobbeh
Subframe bolts fixed exactly this problem for me, and has stayed fixed for a couple of years now. Maybe you didn't do 'em up tight enough Bobbeh -Ian I took it to the garage to do. It certainly did feel tighter after it was done, but the wheel hop/judder thing was still present. I do have 9 inch wide wheels on the front tho, I think that exacerbates the problem.
TLicense
It's a fundamental geometry thing to do with Ackermann angles. The noise you're hearing is sideways scrub of the tyres.
imi
Mine does this too and its got CW suspension and 4 brand new rings on std wheels! One of those things I guess - only on cold tyres though. how do you mean NEW RINGS?? do you mean bearings? Tlicense....interesting theory, sometimes the simplest answer is the right one, I feel satisfied that I am not the only one experiencing this. Well done fella, your absolutley right, I read this whole thread through to make sure no one had mentioned the ackerman angle thing and you get in there first before me, there goes my chance to say something remotely intelligent for once, and you beat me too it.
