Lewis
evenin' Been noticing something about the supe for a while now that has started to bug me, on full lock (and only really noticed in reverse, although I dont think that's important), the front wheels seem to "skip", a slight judder as if the tyres are slipping. It doesn't seem to affect the handling and tyre pressures are fine, am I being a total numpty and missing something obvious/common or can anyone offer any suggestions? Cheers
Whitesupraboy2
i get this sometimes, but having jacked car up and put new alloys on i now dont get it, so guess when car resettled itself back down ,it got rid of the problem

whitesupratt
I think its the ICE. when i reverse out of my parking space in my car park on lock, the front judder badly just once. and is fine. Doesnt in the warm!
RedM
I get this. Don't know what it is.
Lewis
hmmmm, ok - seems like it a common enough problem, I have had it jacked up recently to change all the brake pads and that didn't settle it, might have to have a poke around (difficult without knowing what to look for). I dont have an LSD though so it isn't that.
whitesupratt
My theory with these frickin cars is, leave it and eventualy it'll break. Then you'll know what it is!
Ian Ian
I get this too on some surfaces on full lock in reverse I Dont see it as a problem just the Wide wheels gripping then slipping methinks Had it with the standard wheels and the 18" i Have on now Cheers Ian
ellis
Mine does this too and its got CW suspension and 4 brand new rings on std wheels! One of those things I guess - only on cold tyres though.
whitesupratt
Im sure it's a frost/ice thing!
Lewis
yeah I have 17's with uprated suspension, only thing that concerned me was the possibility of something being loose, it seems that we are all having a similar experience though so that causes me less worry. Will probably have a look anyway. Thanks muchly
Pete
Strange. I never noticed that on MerTOC. I DO notice it on my VVTi though - especially since changing the tyres oddly enough.

RedM
I have it when I'm getting off the drive in the morning and have to apply a lot of lock. It feels like the wheels are dragging. Also get it in the very lovely 'The Light' car-park in Leeds. Had it before Eagle F1s and still have it. As it's a Supra problem it'll cost silly money to fix. _Rob_
I get this too, when reversing off the drive or from cold in 1st gear. Im sure it's a frost/ice thing! it did it before we got the frost, so i dont think its down to that. it does feel like tyres slipping though. ive been assuming its my sub frame bolts so was going to check them sometime in the near future. MrAngry
Another one here with it! I put it down to the tyres just losing grip on full lock. I am also on Eagle F1's
MrRalphMan
I have it when I'm getting off the drive in the morning and have to apply a lot of lock. It feels like the wheels are dragging.. I get exactly the same thing, coming down off the drive, on wheel comes down the kurb and on full right lock.. Not noticed it anywhere else. Jake
I get a similar sounding thing when I first reverse the car or turn the car on full lock. I've always assumed it was the infamous loose sub-frame bolts issue.

I had this too with the F1s - Full lock from coming out of my drive and the front wheels seem to slip/slight judder - Don't get it at all with the Toyos! Chris Wilson
Do a search, I covered this a while ago.
Lewis
Thanks for that chris but looking at the number of people who obviously have had the issue and not seen your post, knowing what to search for might be the issue, can you post a link to the search results? Chris Wilson
I'll have to search for it myself, later
