jot_ie
Can anyone help with part numbers for stock suspension parts? Its a 98 supra tt so it has the REAS suspension. I need numbers for standard REAS springs and REAS shocks. Any traders who can supply I would also welcome a price, delivered to dublin. But I am also going to price them from toyota here. Many thanks John

Many thanks John How urgently do you need the parts John? I should be able to get you the best deal, but would need 5-9 weeks to order/post (depending on postage method used). I'll check the numbers for you now, if you can afford to wait then I will also get you delivered prices.
jot_ie
Nic I will need them in a bit of a hurry I have a lot to do to the car over the coming months As you know I have had lots of problems with the suspension. I brought it to a race garage this morning (recommended by a friend) He thinks the suspension arms etc are fine. He thinks the springs were replaced at some stage. Sounds like its going to be a step by step approach. Change springs......do geometry setup. If that doesnt work, he will then do the shocks and a geometry reset........ and so on until it gets sorted. I think stock springs would suit irish roads perfectly. jot_ie
Thanks guys I have the springs sorted Yesterday morning I managed to find a toyota garage just outside dublin that will supply supra parts. Took about 3 hours of ringing almost every toyota garage in the city. Anyway he was able to source the part no's. The have the epc. None of the other ones have it for the supra. Front springs he priced at €75.00 plus vat @ 21%, each Rear springs at about €67 plus vat each The REAS shocks were however a different story. Get this.........€1,560.00 plus vat @21% for the two fronts only (have to be bought in pairs because of the Reas system) and €1,460.00 plus vat for the rear pair Rip off Ireland or what.... Jeeez Anyway he will have the springs in 2 weeks. John
merckx
Yes , I thought the shocks would be expensive with the hydraulic lines and the unit that sits in the middle. Wouldn't it be better to just fit aftermarket shocks if you need to and just remove the reas setup altogether. You could get a great setup with good quality shocks at a fraction of that price. Chris Wilson
I have good REAS rear shocks and controller, and good rear REAS springs.

Expensive isnt the word, shocking would be more like it (pardon the stupid pun, couldnt resist it) The aftermarket shocks may very well be the way to go. That is if the new springs dont work to satisfaction. We think the previous owner replaced the standard springs with aftermarket ones and left the standard shocks in place. The ride is really too hard On Irish roads its better to have the whole setup softer (stock). I have good REAS rear shocks and controller, and good rear REAS springs. Chris It appears that it is the front that is giving the trouble. I have new springs from toyota on the way. Not too expensive. We will see how they work out. Thanks for your help guys John
