sarjo
Has anyone seen a car with such a heavy spoiler, it cant keep the boot lid open on its own?
Bobbeh
Yeah, the Toyota Celica (new model) is prone to this, due to Toyota fitting crappy strutts with the stock spoiler added.
Guest gzaerojon
not so much a heavy spoiler but a knackered gas strut
whitesupratt
Not a production one, but seen a few aftermarkets and custom/modified spoilers that are obscenely heavy on a few cars!
sarjo
not so much a heavy spoiler but a knackered gas strut Thats what I thought, but have been 'reliably' informed that some spoilers are too heavy to go on the boot!! I have seen some that have ridiculously too large for the car spoilers with the boot open, and wonder how they manage it!! Can you get improved gas struts? Guest gzaerojon
gas struts are funny things, if you uprate them you run the risk of dammaging the brackets/hinges
