Pig
Ok please dont shoot me down here. As far as i know the recent test run that lucifer has done on a stock/bpu?supra has been very successful. I was wonding about trying this on my T61. Obviously it would be purely for cruising. I.e driving pretty much without boot. Could make for happy fuel bills?? As i have been known to use 700 pounds a month on fuel!!!!!
Alex
Dude, we both know you can't cruise anywhere!!!!
Pig
Hehe, Is that your way of telling me you have seen me on the roads on the way home from norwich....."testing" lol Got my highest speeds on that A11 lol
toyotasuprauk
I have no idea but a while back people said you couldn’t have LPG on any supra but Lucifer did it. I'd imagine it would be possible but have no knowledge to prove that. £700 on fuel in one month though no wonder your looking into it! JohnA
why would it be impossible? Atomisation is perfect and it's got lots of octane as well. Not sure about range though.
Pig
?? what do you mean by your not sure about range? Lucifer....if your reading this. What do you think??? Want a guinni "PIG"
dangerous brain
I don't know how you would fare on detonation under heavy boost situations but would you not be able to configure a map that would keep the boost down when on LPG. If it works OK on a BPU supe as long as it was mapped so that the boost and charge inlet temp was kept down surely there'd be no difference? letmeshowyou
Jon, I doub't youd have enough space in the car for a tank big enough to make this worthwhile. Yes the car would run on it, and yes its cheaper than petrol but bare in mind u use alot more of it to travel the same distance than you would petrol... Pig
Back seat out job. Its useless anyways Are you crazy. My back seat gets used 50% of the time im in the car! I dont care if passengers are cumfy! lol Im pretty sure im right in saying the spare wheel is replaced by the tank!
letmeshowyou
usually yes. A spare wheel sized tank isnt gonna get you very far when you consider it will probably be doing in the region of 10mpg on the stuff tho!
dangerous brain
OK do your passengers actually have legs? My seat back touched the front of the rear seat just so I could drive the car. I could get someone in the passenger rear side but that meant having 2 people very uncomfortable and not being able to see out my passenger window or wing mirror. arnout
you can always LPG on vacuum and use petrol on boost. Not difficult with the AEM.
dangerous brain
you can always LPG on vacuum and use petrol on boost. Not difficult with the AEM. OOO that sounds good. Now my aristo would benefit from a system like that and I have a boot big enough too.
Guest Nurzo
LPG tech has come a long way recently. Direct injection is now available with very little power loss. Going on my experience with LPG I would say a TT would use no more than 14 litres per 100km with moderate driving. Problem is were to stick to tank. RobSheffield
off boost, a single Supra is only an NA anyway. so its use as a petrol saver would be a bit suspect if you follow. its when boost occurs and ridiculous amounts of fuel are chucked in*, that a fuel saver would be useful (* you know what i mean....injected in, its 1am!)
