wez_p
HyperSR's diagnosis was a driver's side engine mount i've opted to get both replaced & am now waiting for them to arrive before i'll be dropping it back to them for fitting in a week's time i should have it back & confirm whether it sorted the problem by the 18th October, i hope
Lez
Cheers wez for keeping us up to date. I think I'll order some engine mounts and give it a go, 'cause its driving me crazy now. may even get some gearbox mounts as well, if the price is right. wez_p
Cheers wez for keeping us up to date. I think I'll order some engine mounts and give it a go, 'cause its driving me crazy now. may even get some gearbox mounts as well, if the price is right. engine mounts were £55 + vat each from Toyota fitting is apparently 'a bit of a c*nt' so not sure on how much labour will be, but it was estimated at a couple of hours per side
wez_p
just got my car back tonight after having both engine mounts replaced i'm a very happy chappy vibration has completely gone so my problem is sorted it also ended up costing less than expected too with only 2 hours of labour being required to fit them work was done by Hyper Sports & Racing who were recommended to myself by a couple of people & their service was spot on

Jake
Dude diagnosed my rough idling problem in 10 secs. The viscous fan had seized, it was being driven all the time (i.e. at tickover) and caused the engine to seem 'lumpy' at tickover speed. Replacing the viscous coupling with a used one (thanks Ibrar!) solved the problem instantly. (I skimmed a lot and didn't read every reply thoroughly, sorry if it's already been covered)
Miguel
Not sure, but I had a very similar thing which drove me up the wall. Whilst running at totbiv Mark from pheonix diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes. Ahem, So was mine 1st or 2nd opinion
