RedM
getting a tad fed up of the auto's transmission losses. Is a 6-speed cobv worth doing on shall I just go BPU and be happy that I've got a car that isn't a PITA in traffic?
RobSheffield
you could buy a new car in black (the fastest colour) that is manual. would be easier to be honest Martin. the conmversion is around the 5k mark, but obviously depends on used part prices, and how far you go. RobSheffield
deep breath.... Tlicense did this, click the link - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=16773 the auto box pulls timing on gearchanges to ease the load on the transmission, so ECU needs changing. also box, pedals, drive shaft iirc, possiby diff need changing, but dont quote me, and labour....all equals not cheap
RedM
Bloody hell. Right, forget that then. I really could buy a new car for that. Move along. Nothing to see here.

LeeT
Martin - add power, be happy agreed, although im just about to start the conversion. the only reason im changing is that the standard autobox is only good for 500bhp. i reckon all in it'll end up costing me alot less than £2000 . also ive had the auto for 2+ years and fancied a change. the auto is one hell of a box. JohnK
Its a monumental amount of work so unless you can do it all yourself it will cost near the 5k mark.
