Mad Ad
Does anyone know of any decent garages around the Hampshire/southern counties area where I can get my car serviced? I've only seen japvillage so far but they are charging bout £45 per hour with vat on top (?!). Talk about cutting my balls off.....
SkyJawa
http://www.ggg.co.uk Could be a bit of a trek for you though!
Jake
Heard some good things about Toyoda Tech Very local to us as well Ad mate
JohnK
I use toyodatech and have no complaints, I think mawby does too. They do know there way around a supe. They are usually very busy though and need about a months notice.
SimonB
There's Triton Motor Services over this way - bit out of your way though. I've used them for servicing and they fitted my exhaust and cat removal pipe and did a good job pretty cheap. 01202 571564 is their number, they're round the back of Bournemouth airport. Mad Ad
Cheers guys. I've heard of the Toyoda tech guys but was a bit put off as my mate has an mr2 and had to pay something like £800 for a cambelt change. But I do believe its an engine out job on those. Can anyone give me some prices on charges?

SkyJawa
They are probably charging you for them disposing of the oil.... Bit of a con charge IMHO.
Aerotop Dave
And let's not forget the ever present 'sundries' charge. I'm never sure what that's all about. Probably the mechanic's sandwiches... Even my friendly, family run local garage charges this, and I'm always too embarassed to ask. I like to at least give the impression that I know about cars, even if they've probably seen through my bluff years ago...
MegatronUK
WD40, Carb cleaner, spray grease, copperslip, washers, hoseclips, screenwash fluid top-up etc. Stuff like that. At least thats what my dad includes in that on customer bills. That auxilliary belt for £59 sounds expensive though....
Mad Ad
Ive given Toyoda tech a shout. They say £511 all. Major service, cambelt change and spark plugs as well. Sound good?

MegatronUK
Yeah, they're all made by the same handful of companies and just have different brand names stamped on them anyway! -John
JamesArup
Originally posted by HISUPE http://www.ggg.co.uk Digging up an old thread I know, but cheers for this link HISUPE. They are about 3 mins away from work, and they have just done the Supes' first service. Really nice guys, seem to have done everything they said they've done (Standard 3,000 mile 'A Type' service), and ... less than £145 Cheers, J p.s. Although I did get a 0.2 litre Micra as a courtesy car
SkyJawa
Thats great news mate, glad someone tried them I need a few other bits doing like EGT sensor as I'm coming up to my first proper service (1 done by importers, oil change by me etc) so am gonna go elsewhere otherwise I'd have used them myself. (My dad has a corolla that was serviced byt them when they were Toyota in Guildford and sold Supes and imports too etc) At least I'm happy to go to them for the others though, especially after what you've said
JamesArup
Hmmm .... Although I have just noticed some scratching on my passenger-side front wing . Not sure if it was there before though - I clean the car every week, and I'm sure I would have seen it before ! But it is dark .... I'll look in the morning! Cheers, J
