Supra's are pretty much bulletproof, Toyota didnt have to do engine recalls because the bores wore out early Like the 2.8 and 4.0L BMW's. Having owned both BMW's and Toyota's I know which one is much better built, and it aint the beemer. dangerous brain Posted March 8, 2006 Share Posted March 8, 2006 Again it all depends on how many seats you need (not want need) I needed back seats that were useable and doors next to all the useable seats as well. I looked at an M5 and was taken by them but in the end I went jap and got an aristo instead. Age for age I went with the cars that have the least miles. They aren't difficult to push well over 400 bhp out of on stock turbo's and most appear to stay reliable on the road at that power as well. Previous treatment will tell on any car you buy.
