Marco
... Is it me or does anyone else sometimes feel the same way? Dont agree, I've posted some noob questions before and always got a good reply from several people
Ian C
WIKI scares me because I can see real favourable entries being put in for earthing kits and FSE valves by traders and I'll have to spend all day changing them back to read "crock" lol Glad to see people loving tech long time I seem to be posting the FAQ link to "checking your error codes" a lot lately and I've even stickied it in the FAQ section but I guess it's easier to ask than to look My responses depend on how the question is asked an how I'm feeling at the time, and I imagine that counts for everyone on here. We all have bad days -Ian
Pete
It will never happen. I think it depends upon how hard we push the Wiki on the site too. If it's all spangly clear links from all pages saying "The Wiki - MKIV Supra Information Centre - Look here for all you need to know" or something similar (I've not thought about this wording) then people hopefully will use it. Maybe even append to the "If it's technical and mkiv specific, it goes here! - Remember to checkout the Wiki first" under the technical section link on the forum overview page. You could even go as far as hacking some text into the top of the new post page - "BEFORE ASKING - Have you checked out the Wiki? "

(I know kinda defeats the whole Wiki ethos, but needed to avoid this situation)

paul_y3k
To be hoenst I try and use the search button, but the information that cmoes back is so convulted and buried on other threads it's difficult to see the releavance. The last search i did was on PCD sizes for the supra ... and I'm stilll not 100% about them. I think it comes down to the fact the search returns and instance of a keyword, so if someone mentions pcd as an aside of semothign else then up it pops

Well being male he'll be more intelligent than the women so that's a good start towards his 50%. (You started it saying 50% of us are thick!!!) RedM
I have to say that I've asked some REALLY dumb questions in my time here. Anyone remember the 'which way should the tread on my tyres point' thread? They've always been answered and nearly always had some good natured p*ss-taking too. I expect that and I'm not bothered by it in the slightest. This place is a mine of information and worth, IMO, several times the cost of joining. If some people find some of the comments off-putting then as has been said already, there is a red X up the top. However, when people say I have a pink car..... Nic
That's a bizarre turn of phrase isn't...wonder what it's origin is. I googled it and found this Hoodwinked's source has not been lost to time. Wink originally meant simply `to close one's eyes.' To be hoodwinked was to have one's eyes 'closed' or `covered' by one's hood (hoods were often worn when this term originated, in the 16th century). Thieves would hoodwink their victims in order to rob them. The term was also used to describe the practice of hooding hawks and falcons when they were carried.
