Chris Wilson
The drain tap uses an O ring seal, from memory, it may just need taking apart and any crud cleaning off / out. At worst a new O ring should fix it. Don't overtighten, it's a brittle plastic bottom tank and easily cracked.
RedM
Posted about this over at Supraforums and they seem to think it's the water pump. Have a butchers here.. Could it be that? Bit worried now. Heard a funny noise like water being squirted but it seemed to be coming from near the fan.
Chris Wilson
What a load of *rap. The waqter pump drain tube is about 3 inches long and is there just to stop a leaking pump pouring water into the alternator. It's the wrong side of the engine bay and about 4 feet too short to reach where the OP describes. It ends up about 18 inches above the undertray. It's the radiator drain tap hose he can see, so you can drain the rad without filling the undertray with water. Water pump drain hose indeed..... Ian C
Thing I don't understand is - there is this nice hole for the rad drain hose, but no access to the rad drain tap. So you have to take the undertray off to get at the tap, so why bother with the hose hole in the undertray?! -Ian

RedM
I've nipped out of work this morning to see my trusty mechanic and he managed a 1/4 turn of the drain tap thingy. Parked up back at work now and shall have a look under her when I go home. He thinks that the most it'll need is a new O ring. I'll kepp you posted. Oh, and thanks Mr. WIlson for talking me down from my panic this morning.

I can't on mine I'm no hulk but I have got the twin aircon fans and some fat metal intercooler pipes in the way, maybe that's it -Ian
