Hi, i know this question has probably been asked a thousand times but, i get paid tomorrow and i can finally start modding my RZ! Induction kit is the first mod i'm gonna make so could anyone tell me which is the best one available, how much is it, and wheres the best place to buy one? I'm after one that'll make it sound the dogs bollox, not that fussed about bhp cos from what i've heard so far they all give about 12-15bhp. I was gonna get a HKS one cos thats what i had on my G-Ltd and it sounded ace, but some people have said the Apexi and Blitz ones are better suited to a supra.

I think sound wise the Blitz ones do sound good but alot of people don't bother with replacing the air box as it very good as standard on the Supra.

I'm sure that you won't get any BHP increases either if your just purchaing standard bolt on filters.

Try a search under this topic and you should turn up alot of info.:)

If you are going down the Induction route the Apexi filter is the one to have for best overall filtration and has been proven in independent tests to give the best power gains, although this is debatable with any filter.

If looks and sound are your thing then the Blitz SUS power takes some beating!

Due to the problems incured by members of the bbs I would steer clear of the HKS unit, which is very overpriced for what it is IMHO.

BTW I have both the Blitz and Apexi in stock if your interested! Check out http://www.envyperformance.com under the air filters section.

well after doing a bit a research i reckon i'm gonna go for the Blitz SUS one, don't fancy wasting money on a HKS one if it might cause problems. The Apexi one might be better but doesn't look as good. They all seem to be around the £200 mark, is this the right price to pay or does anyone know where i can get a bargain?!

The best bargain is that fanatastic filter and cold air induction system Mr.Toyota sent with the car :innocent:

Still, wouldn't it take years before you need a rebuild just by putting one of those on? That test they did, who did it? Looks from the pics as if it was done in the 80s......lol :p

My Skyline R33 GTR needed new valve guides, a rebore, pistons and rings, all the valves re seating and 2 second hand turbos due to (IMO) poor filtration. I run F3 engines, which run with no filter at all, so I know EXACTLY what unfiltered air wear looks like... What peoples obsession with tearing perfectly good stock filtration systems off road car engines is I just don't know, only to add a system that may have lesser filtrational ability and definitely gives the engine hot air to breathe...:flame Dev
