Paul
On our Carina Estate ( ) one of the brake light bulbs kept going every few months and I checked the wiring etc and made sure that the lens unit was dry and all was well? Then a friend suggested buying the next replacement bulb direct from Toyota as they questioned the quality of the Halfrauds bulbs (I thought they were all the same sort of quality?). Went to Toyota and paid a bit more and not had the problem since!! That was nearly a year ago. Worth questioning the quality or source of the replacements? absz
if its plastic lens then you will have to buy good quality bulbs as the light units get very hot inside being all plastic. we had the same problem with a fleet of landrovers at work, bulbs were blowing every other day . Lucifer
I had the same on my 330. Never did get to the bottom of it. Try getting bmw to change them, then at least you get new ones every tiem for free.
