absz
looking for a wiring diagram for the complete speedo circuit. j-spec tt my car has been showing code 42 since i've owned it, the odo/speedo both do not work. its fitted with a aftermarket speedo converter km to miles which i have removed and reconnected wiring back to original but has made no differance. need to trace wiring back to source. Jspec Germany
Are you sure you need a new speed sensor and not a new odometer or repaired TSD/DSC installation repair? Just a thought dude. Speed sensors rarely go bad.
TLicense
Are you sure you need a new speed sensor and not a new odometer or repaired TSD/DSC installation repair? Just a thought dude. Speed sensors rarely go bad. It's a good point. The speed signal is sent to the odo which then conditions the signal and sends it off to x,y and z. If that's not working to brilliantly then it won't be sending it's signal. From memory, the speed sensor should send 4 pulses for every shaft rotation. However it'll be a bit of a pain to get in there to measure that. Probably much easier to check out the odo first to dismiss that. Have you got an acitve spoiler? If so does that work? I should think it doesn't. Also I don't think your progressive power steering will be working either.

absz
yep its defo speed sensor. there is no output signal from sensor when the vehicle is been driven. checked input signal which is 12volts which seems right. SUPRo thanks for the offer i think that the sensors are different for the autos.
