c0c4in3
Hey there... Is that easy or quite a bit hard to DIY.
terribleturner
Pretty straight forward, have a look at the manual first so you know how they are all bolted on and dive in
JohnA
If you're talking about exh manifold, then if it has been left undisturbed from the factory be prepared for stubborn and siezed bolts. DIYable but potentially time-consuming and frustrating. Are you going single?
michael
Are you going single? Sounds more like he's going 'bling' to me
JohnA
Take the manifold off to go 'bling'? If so, maybe he means something else with the term "manifold" eh?
Robert
think he means the intake manifold
colsoop
Its not too bad, i would order all the gaskets from Mr T in advance if i were you. i label everything as well so i know whats come off where and in what order. Have a look at this excellent write up by "T license" HERE
TrickTT
Inlet manifold would be easy on the bench, but if the engines still in the car, be prepared for some skinned knuckles. Its easier if you remove the battery and power steering resevoir first.
c0c4in3
Thanks a lot. I don't wanna go signle. Michael was right. I wan to polish the parts. By Manifold I mean the intakle manifold / throttle body. The big thing on the right side :-)

Ian C
It's actually pretty easy once you know all the gotchas Taking the battery out is a must, but you don't have to remove the PAS reservoir, you can just unbolt it and bend it out the way as needed. There is a vac hose on the underside of the throttle body that goes to the PAS pump. Watch out for that one and also two coolant lines going to the underside of the TB as well. They are easier to undo if you take the TB off the plenum first. When doing that, you've got two bolts on top but also two nuts underneath which can be a bit of a git to get at! There are two coolant lines going to the Idle Control Valve as well, they are easier to get off if you take the ICV off the plenum first. Get some bolts or allen keys or even rolled up tissue to plug the hoses with - they won't leak much when you remove them. There is a small 10mm bolt at the back of the plenum which holds on a wiring loom casing, and there is also a support bracket and the dipstick bracket on the underside of the intake runners section of the plenum. I think that's all the nasty bits -Ian

Ian C
Actually I've got a couple of pics that may help. The first one shows the two studs that you have to get the nuts off, and also one of the coolant hoses poking up that goes on the bottom of the TB. The other hose is attached to some hard piping that comes off in one piece from the plenum. The second picture shows pretty much all the bolts that have to come out, including that pesky 10mm one - it's black so it doesn't show up too well but it's bolted in pointing at the front of the car, into the bottom right casting of the plenum. -Ian PS amazingly I notice I didn't take the battery out I suggest you do haha
