colsoop
Has anyone used the drag strip there, i was just interested in alternative drag events as Santa pod although popular doesn't really splash the cash in preparing the surface. They appear to have an event on the 19th March. Website link HERE

letmeshowyou
Very good surface there for road tyres. Bit difficult to find if youve not been before (badlt signposted) but good once youre there. Branners, thats not a bad idea...
Branners
Branners, thats not a bad idea... I have a good idea once a year, I started early this year so thats me done now Im thinking the club can pay up front for the event and then we work out a reasonable price to charge people so we dont lose money on it, any extra we get back (if we do) then goes back in to the accounts or pays for food on the day or something. Just need somebody to find out how much it is to hire that place and we can work it out from there really. I would be willing to pay up to £50 to get unlimited clear runs on a decent track. Homer
Seeing as Santpod costs £30 and most only get 1 run an hour, £50 would be a bargain
letmeshowyou
yep same here the important thing I guess is if they let people run in the wet... (and if we'd actually want to!) just in case...

letmeshowyou
so presumably we'd need to be very careful what day we booked it for!

CJ
In all seriousness, you will have to book this well in advance and unless you have a crystal ball bigger than Chris Webley's head, you are going to have to do it on a wing and a prayer.
