RedM
Can a local (solely for people in a small area) mini-meet be set up without running it by the events mods? Seems a bit of an a*se-ache if details change etc. having to run it by someone who might never attend.
RobSheffield
Well, im your local moderator, and i will usually attend... Seriously though, if im right in picking up what Mawby said, we are only moderating as in deleting posts, stickying threads etc.....im pretty sure you can still set up your own threads... Check with Mawby first though
mawby
Rob is correct. The idea of the new events mods is not to take over the organising of all the events. However, as events form the second largest aspect of this club (the forum being the largest) I felt it was time to start focusing on them in the future. The events mods are here to keep the events forums running smoothly, they are also here to provide advise to anyone organising a meet, and they will also act on behalf of the club when a meet requires an official club stand to be organised. You guys still need to organise your local meets, but hopefully as time goes one the events mod for each area will start to organise regular meets too. There are loads of meets out there which the club missed last year, hopefully with a whole team of people working on them we can make our presence known everywhere this year. Next we plan to take over the world!
