TrickTT
I was off work last week, so I took all the aluminium off the engine and polished it. All done by hand using wet/dry paper, starting at 80 and working up to 800, then finishing with autoglym metal polish. If anyone wants a bank robbing, let me know, cos i've polished off my fingerprints on my right hand;) .

Paul
Colin, those cam covers on your site, are they chromed or just polished? If polished then are they easy to keep shiny? Paul
colsoop
They are polished, keeping them clean is relatively easy, you just need to get a decent metal polish. The "brilliant" polish works well. FROM HERE When you wash your car just get in to a habit of lifting the bonnet and cleaning the shiny bits as well. Chris Wilson
You could lacquer them, but all the lacquers i have seen yellow with age, heat amd comntaminants. Re polishing is an option, but how dedicated are you?
