Ian C
OK, I've washed the car, now when I lock it I get 5 beeps instead of 1, and the alarm keeps going off. Naturally I can't find the instruction manual so here I am asking the experts What's the 5 beeps signify? I did have a door open light constantly lit with no doors open, so I dried the bonnet switch off and opened & shut every door. The light is out but I still get 5 beeps, so I've left it unlocked for now (in the garage). -Ian
mawby
I don't know the true answer, but 5 beeps will almost certainly mean there is an earth fault. My lazerline did the same, and if I didn't sort it then the alarm would also go off. On mine the problem was water in the bonnet switch.
Alex
ha haa haaaaa earth fault....Ian .... You've got the bug back!!!! Returned to it's rightful owner....after you tried to give it to my car! /starts coughing (private joke) /stops being evil and decides to be sympathetic.... Did you clean the engine bay? Could have knocked a wire?
merckx
5 flashes is the positive door circuit, ie it's gone to 12v when a door is opened. Ian , I've got the User and Install manuals for the Toad ai606. If you want them then pm me your email address and I'll send them to you

Ian C
Oh, it was soaked I thought that might be the culprit although it's never happened before and nothing has changed I gave it a cursory drying-off but I guess I'll let it drip dry naturally and then lock it Thanks Merc, PM sent! -Ian
