Just got back from New Zealand....

I was in NZ last year - i agree it's a great place especially South Island.

North Island could almost have been Wales or Scotland in parts (still nice though - Bay of Islands was great).

I was at Milford Sound in July or something which is slap-bang in the middle of their winter and it was FAPPING freezing. My fingers were almost stuck to my camera. But Milford is well spectacular.

Lake Taupo also great and all that jazz.

I did about 7000kms in a friends Subaru Outback 4Wd (it had 274,000kms on it (WTF!?!) and never went wrong once apart from a flat-tyre which is hardly it's fault).

Next time i'll have to go their in their summer so i don't get hypothermia every day!

LOL!!! Sorry Rob!!! :p :D

It certainly was amazing, as said, the south island is simply spectacular, bit busier in the north island but Napier, Taupo and Rotarua were good too, all the geothermal stuff, was really interesting :)

4 million people live in the entire country (1m on south island and 3m on north in a country approx same size as UK), thats around half of londons population - it was bliss! Driving was great, but got back in the SX for the first time today, my god how weird was that to drive after almost 3 weeks in a diesel campervan!!!!

Must say I was expecting Vegas to be tacky, but it totally carries it off, I will definitly be going back there, had a right laugh - shame I got my wallet nicked there though - still, didn't ruin it - couple of cards and a bit of cash in it only and I can claim it back from my Travel Insurance.
