It just shows that everyone has a difference of opinion as to what is offensive and what is not. Personally if i find something offensive i just won't read again. From how you worded it, sounded like 'stiff's' were everyone not agreeing with the 'YES" vote. so if that is jumping in and accusing, then i was guilty, ok. all i will say is not sure who is more open minded, the person who makes the jokes/comments. or the person who understands how it may affect someone. to me its the latter. actually the thread originally started about being asked about non-PC jokes (and as i said before, it was way too ambigious vote option). its got nothing to stop people having constructive comments. finally, i am ok with non-PC jokes and comments. i just draw the line at extreme racism or sexism used as jokes. most other things are ok, imho. can we just get back to cars etc, seems the thing we can all agree upon editted to add - i am probably just totally depressed about not having the Supra for over a week while remedial work is being done on it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The fact that you need to ask shows me that you have second thoughts about posting them in the first place, why do you think that is? Guilt, fear, apprehension....? I have told and been told rascist, sexist, religious and pretty much every type of joke there is, I have heard them from white english, scot, irish, indian, arab, muslim, christian and my best mate Mr okonkwo from nigeria, when I was in the armed forces, humour was VITAL (and I mean vital) and this is always at someones expense. It may be that Jock (who's a stoker) has a bell-end the size of a fruit fly, therefore poor old jock verbally had the shit kicked out of him. However, we are not in the armed forces are we, it's a car forum, whilst everyone likes a bit of banter and a laugh, some get genuinely offended and you need to take that into consideration when you post. I have seen that you said you were not going to post the jokes and that's fine by me, I probably heard them yonks ago but what mystifies me is why on earth you asked everybody? Make the title "religious joke - NSFW, Race joke NSFW" etc etc, that way people can make their own mind up. There is enough bullshit filling up this forum without a thread of this size simply to discuss a joke or two about a minority group. pffft! It works both ways, not just for the minority - its seems tha racism is something white people are guilty off (bullshi*).
