Jake
Anyone seen 'Deal or no deal?' on Channel 4? My best mate owns a pub. He doesn't work there, he just owns it. Me and him went there tonight for a few bevvies and instead of the usual kareoke or crap singer they had this game called "Beer or no beer?" on the stage. It's just like C4's 'Deal Or No Deal' but for beer. The stakes are quite high; you can win up to 4 gallons of beer! It was a right laugh. Lots of Noel Edmonds type "Think carefully, it's a life-changing amount of beer" comments etc Anyone seen anything like this elsewhere? I think it's a unique idea. Gaz Walker
I watched about 20 minutes of it one night over dinner. I have no idea how it all works, looked way to complicated for your average game show! But Noel Edmunds was a shocker though... Gaz.
Scoboblio
I've seen the gameshow and actually got quite into it! That's a superb pub game though, what an idea!

terribleturner
I think it's a great game, but preffer the beer version
RedM
DOND has to be the most bizarre game ever invented. If only for the fact that it relies on nothing but luck and yet Noel Edmunds seems convinced that you can play a strategic game. Utter rot. You stand as much chance of doing well by picking the boxes in numerical order as you would if you chose them based on the colour of your fellow contestants clothing. I'm also pretty sure that the Banker exist in Noels imagination only or, even worse, is Keith f**king Chegwin. Still I do enjoy watching the smug barstewards walking away with less money than it cost them to get there.

Yeah I thought it was complicated at first, but thats because I didn't watch the whole thing. Its worth a watch though, abit repeatative and drawn out is the only thing I don't like. UltraFlynn
I rather like DOND. It is funny when you get some muppets saying that they have some bizarre strategy It's all about luck. I liked the guy who everyone thought was going to win huge, walk away with £20. Most amusing.
Mike
I really like it... beer version sounds better like.. I agree *no* skill or strategy needed what so ever... but 'big money' (or beer) and 'tension' required so there in lie a game show.. The only thing I don't like about it is Noel 'f*cking' Edmonds... ..a life changing amount of beer at stake here...

Max Headroom
Dont knock it, it gets about 4.5 million viewers. The game itself is very simple but it is enjoyable BECAUSE of Noel Edmunds who works the players and the audience. I watch it at work and we ALL stop around about that time to watch DOND. Yes it requires no skill or judgement just pure luck and the players gambling instincts.

RedM
Instead of a lowest prize (is it a quid?) they should have a gun. Pick that and it's game over.

RedM
Oh yeah. I can see it now. A p*ssed off contestant standing over a cowering Noel going "Deal or no deal this, you Seventies shirt wearing, beardy f**ker" I'd pay to watch that. Rob
There is some skill involved in it, i.e. knowing when to play the odds, and when to pull out and accept the deal. Tonights player cocked it up royally, and ended up with £10 when he rejected an offer of £25000.
